Picking a facility for your pets can be hard... We understand and we're here to help.
We are a team of pet lovers and pet owners ourselves, and know just how difficult of a decision it can be when deciding on a place to leave our pets. Of course it is! These are important members of our families. At Three Oaks, we believe that the care our guests recieve here should be just as all-encompassing, gentle and thorough as our very own furry friends recieve at home. We focus on your pets individual needs and take into account each pets unique behavior, special needs and personalities while personalizing their stay
Why we’re different
Each pet is very unique
If there is one thing we know, each pet that comes to visit us is different from the next. Whether it’s customizing their room to suit their needs, taking it slow with the pets who are a little nervous being away from home, a kitty needing a little enticement with their breakfast or making sure our special needs pets get exactly what they need to be comfortable, we know pet care is not one size fits all. We want to do what it takes to make being away from home the best experience it can be. We regularly host pets who are both pet friendly and not so much.
Details matter…
Three Oaks utilizes Paw Partner, a software system that allows each pet that comes through our doors to have a profile of their own where we track important things about their visits. Detailed note taking, daycare assessments, intake exams and boarding charts to track feeding/potty times allow us to relay relevant and honest info back to pet parents about their pets visit, keep a close eye on pets with medical or behavioral needs and sometimes, just write down that special thing that makes a pets stay just right. We also use this information to make an informed decision on if your pet is a good match for our facility. Sometimes, dogs prefer the company of people over a social daycare setting, or a cat may be better with a pet sitter since being away from home is a little much for them. At the bottom of it all, a happy and comfortable pet is what we strive for. Our scrupulous eye for tracking your pets visit will ensure you are getting honest feedback.
Our staff is pretty awesome
At their start, our staff undergo training on the job through lecture, hands-on learning and shadowing, modules and testing with PackPro pet professional training, take a course on Pet CPR/first aid and most importantly, are always learning new ways to make your pets visit even better by getting to know each of them on your pets terms. We are also member of the IBPSA(International Boarding and Pet Services Association) which allows the team to take advantage of extra learning opportunities to broaden their pet care and handling library of knowledge. A typical doggie daycare facility staff to dog ratio can be very high with 1 staff member to 20-30(or more) dogs. That can create an unsafe environment where dogs aren’t monitored closely possibly at the expense of safety for your dog and others. Here at Three Oaks, our average ratio is 1-7, or 1 staff member to 7 pups(With a maximum of 10). This way, we’re able to both monitor our groups closely and also build important bonds with the dogs and work on important things like gate manners and recall. We follow a gentle, positive-reinforcement based interaction system with our guests here and consistently work on gate-boundaries, group sits, over-excited pet redirection/breaks, recalls and more to make sure we’re really building a bond with your furry family members and helping keep Three Oaks the safest most comfortable place it can be.
